The Doctrine of Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is God. We believe that He co-existed within the Trinity before the foundation of the world (John 1:1; 17:5). We believe that He lived a sinless life, died vicariously on the cross as our substitutionary sacrifice to appease the very wrath of God consequently atoning all those who would believe, that He was raised bodily from the grave on the third day after His death, conquering death and sin (1 Corinthians 15:4; John 10:17-18) and sealing redemption to those who would believe, and was seen by over 500 in the space of 40 days after His resurrection, and that He ascended to heaven marking the end of His earthly ministry (Acts 1:6-11) to sit at the right hand of God the Father as our advocate.

His Humanity
We believe that Christ was fully man and fully God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:30-35). The virgin birth was the means by which He obtained a sinless human nature without adversely affecting His deity (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23). He grew and developed as a normal child (Luke 2:52). He possessed the essentials of human nature including: a physical body, intellect, emotion and will (Matthew 26:38-39; John 1:14; 11:33; Philippians 2:7-8; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 2:14; 1 John 1:1). Christ was subjected to human passions and limitations (Matthew 4:2; Mark 3:5; 10:21; John 4:6; 12:27; 19:28), tempted in all human passions yet lived without sin (Hebrews 4:15) so that on the cross God could treat Him as though He lived our life so that the we could be treated as though we lived His.

The Unity of Christ
We believe that Christ is genuinely and completely both God and man united in one person with two natures (John 1:14; 3:13; 6:62; Romans 1:3-4; 1 Corinthians 2:8; Galatians 4:4; Colossians 1:13-14; 1 Timothy 3:16). By taking on the form of a man, Christ did not surrender the form of fullness of deity (Colossians 2:9). He willingly accepted certain limitations upon the full exercise of His deity that was necessary to accept human attributes (Philippians 2:6-7). After his death, resurrection and ascension, all preincarnate authority and glory were restored to Christ (Matthew 28:18; John 7:39; 12:16,23; 13:31-32; 17:1-5; Acts 13:33; Romans 1:4; Ephesians 1:19-22; Philippians 2:8-11; Hebrews 1:3-5; 5:5).

His Deity
He was plainly declared to be God (John 1:1,18; 20:28; Acts 2:36; Romans 9:5; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 5:20). In addition, Christ is worshipped as God, yet without blasphemy (John 5:23; Philippians 2:10-11; Hebrews 1-6), and He is identified as Yahweh of the Old Testament (Matthew 3:3 cf. Isaiah 40:3; John 12:41 cf. Isaiah 6:1; 1 Peter 3:15 cf. Isaiah 8:13; Ephesians 4:7-8 cf. Psalms 68:18; Hebrews 1:6 cf. Psalms 102:25-27; Romans 10:13 cf. Joel 2:32).

The Work of Christ
Christ's work is divided into 3 offices: Prophet, Priest, and King. He was a prophet, in the sense that revealed God's words and nature to mankind, hence doing the very work of a prophet (Matthew 13:57; John 1:1-2,14,18; 12:45; 14:9; 17:6,8,14,26; Acts 3:22-23; Colossians 1:15;  Heb 1:1-3). Having offered Himself as the perfect, final, substitutionary, sacrifice for our sins, Christ now sits at the right hand of the Father as the unique Priest acting as the mediator to reconcile man to God (2 Corinthians 5:18-19; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; Hebrews 6:20; 7:24-28; 9:24-28; 10:19-23). As High Priest, He is the believer's intercessor, representative, and advocate (Luke 17:21; John 17; Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25; 9:24; 1 Peter 2:5; 1 John 2:1). He, simultaneously and inseparably from the other two offices, functions as the unique King, Who rules over the hearts of all those that follow Him as Lord (Luke 17:21; 1 Corinthians 15:27; Ephesians 1:22; Philippians 2:8-11; 1 Timothy 6:15; Hebrews 2:8). At the time the Father wills, Christ will return in power as King, and will reign on earth for one thousand years and will be the object of glory and honor in Heaven for all eternity (Isaiah 9:7; Luke 1:32-33; Hebrews 1:8; Revelation 19:16; 20:4).
