The Doctrine of God
We believe that there is but one living and true God (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5-7; 1 Corinthians 8:4), a personal, infinite, all knowing Spirit (John 4:24), perfect in all His attributes, one in essence, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). We teach that God is the Self-existing One. This means that He does not necessitate proof of His own existence and must ultimately be accepted on the basis of faith, not by proven reason (Hebrews 11:6).

God the Father
We believe that God is a Spirit and must be worshiped in spirit and truth (John 4:23-24). He has revealed Himself to all men through creation (Romans 1:20). He also reveals Himself through His attributes.

We believe that God created the entire physical and spiritual universe ex-nihilo (meaning He created all things with no preexisting materials) (Exodus 20:11; Romans 4:17; 2 Corinthians 4:6; Hebrews 11:3), and formed all that is in it by his spoken word (Genesis 1:3,6,9,11,14,20,24,26). The Son (John 1:3; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Hebrews 1:10) and the Spirit (Genesis 1:2; Job 33:4; Psalms 104:30) were actively involved in the creation of all things. We believe that original creation was completed in six literal, 24 hour days (Genesis 2:1-2) and was intrinsically good (Genesis 1:10,12,18,21,25,31).

The Trinity
We teach that God has eternally existed in three simultaneous Persons in one Being: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Thus there is not a plurality of gods but one God (Mark 12:29). In addition, God is not made up of different personalities, but is one God in three distinct persons. Scripture affirms both the unity of God (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:6; 45:21-22; John 17:21-22; 1 Corinthians 8:4-6; 1 Timothy 2:5) and the equality of the three distinct Persons in the Godhead (Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 4:4-6; 1 John 4:2; Jude 20-21; Revelation 1:4-6). Though there are forms of subordination within the Trinity, there remains an equality of essence and glory (John 17:5).
